Explore your SGLI, VGLI, or FSGLI conversion options
We recognize the sacrifices you and your family have made in service to our country. As you transition from active duty, MassMutual can help you explore options to convert your military life insurance—such as SGLI, VGLI, or FSGLI—into an individual whole life policy designed to provide long‑term protection for the people who matter most.
How does it work?
- SGLI: Servicemembers must convert their SGLI policy within 120 days from the date of separation from the military.
- VGLI: Veterans may convert a VGLI policy to a whole life policy at any time.
- FSGLI: Dependent spouses of service members must convert their FSGLI policy within 120 days of the following dates: spouse’s separation from the military, divorce, or termination of their spouse’s SGLI policy.
Whether you want to know more about converting your life insurance, planning for retirement, or leaving a legacy, our financial professionals are here to help. Fill out the form to connect with a financial professional.
