Today and beyond service

A longstanding commitment to those who serve

At MassMutual, we’re honored to support those who serve—and the families who support them. Through practical resources, tools, and meaningful career opportunities, we’re committed to standing with the military community during service, through transition, and into the next chapter of life.

Explore, watch, and learn

Military life comes with unique financial considerations—from frequent moves to career transitions and family planning. Explore resources, tools, and stories—that highlight how we support the military community.

Together, we’re stronger

After a life-changing injury forced her into retirement, Command Sergeant Major Gretchen Evans founded Team UNBROKEN, an adaptive athletic team. Her story is a powerful reminder that, with the right support, obstacles can be overcome.

Through connection and shared experiences, Team UNBROKEN supports severely wounded veterans —values that align with MassMutual’s commitment to supporting the military community.

Explore your SGLI, VGLI, or FSGLI conversion options

We recognize the sacrifices you and your family have made in service to our country. As you transition from active duty, MassMutual can help you explore options to convert your military life insurance—such as SGLI, VGLI, or FSGLI—into an individual whole life policy designed to provide long‑term protection for the people who matter most.

How does it work?

  • SGLI: Servicemembers must convert their SGLI policy within 120 days from the date of separation from the military.
  • VGLI: Veterans may convert a VGLI policy to a whole life policy at any time.
  • FSGLI: Dependent spouses of service members must convert their FSGLI policy within 120 days of the following dates: spouse’s separation from the military, divorce, or termination of their spouse’s SGLI policy.

Whether you want to know more about converting your life insurance, planning for retirement, or leaving a legacy, our financial professionals are here to help. Fill out the form to connect with a financial professional.
