We know it’s critical to build relationships based on experience and trust with a company who understands your needs and who can help you plan for your future – and our commitment to diversity and inclusion helps us achieve our goals to be an employer and financial services provider of choice for the LGBT community.
Corporate Employee Resources and Support
Our active Pride LGBTA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Allies) Employee Resource Group is just one of seven other Employee Resource Groups that MassMutual supports. This is one of the reasons MassMutual has earned a 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equity Index (HRC/CEI) for three consecutive years (2014-2016), and why we ranked among the Top 3 on DiversityInc.’s Top 10 Companies for LGBT employees in 2014 and 2015, and achieved a place on its Top 50 Companies for Diversity list. We are very proud of our LGBT-friendly workplace that allows employees to bring their whole selves to work.
Sponsorships and Visibility in the LGBT Community
Sponsoring local and national LGBT organizations is a fundamental part of who we are as a company. MassMutual supports the LGBT community in various ways, beginning with the local community with sponsorship of the Northampton, Mass., “NoHo” Pride Parade, the Phoenix Pride Festival, the Western Massachusetts AIDS Foundation, the Hartford Gay & Lesbian Health Collective, and the Connecticut Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.
Nationally MassMutual sponsors the NGLCC (National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce), Out and Equal Workplace Advocates, GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network), Lavender Law(R), Out100, Point Foundation, and the 2014 Gay Games in Cleveland, Ohio.
