Mary-Stuart Carruthers received her B.A. degree from the University of Oklahoma and her M.A. degree at Northwestern University. Following her initial career as a Speech Therapist, Mary-Stuart began her second career as a Financial Advisor. During her 30 years as a Financial Advisor, Mary-Stuart has earned the advanced designation of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC), Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC), qualified for the MassMutual Leaders Circle, qualified for the elite Million Dollar Round Table in 2001, received the National Quality Award and been named the Agency Associate of the Year in 1991. Throughout her career, Mary-Stuart has helped many people in her community develop a financial strategy that will provide them confidence about their future.
Active in her community, Mary-Stuart has served on the board for the Rotary Club of Rockford, Metro Center Board (Now BMO-Harris Center), co-chaired the public fundraising for the Connecting Our Future campaign (expansion of two award winning museums), and assisted with three mayoral campaigns and one state attorney campaign. She currently serves as a member of the Junior League of Rockford and the Rockford Chamber of Commerce.
Mary-Stuart is an accomplished cook and her favorite place to spend time is in her kitchen preparing new recipes. When she travels, Mary-Stuart likes to explore new restaurants so it’s no wonder she was a member of the American Institute of Wine & Food.
