I came to Washington in 1976 for a field school at the Ozette archaeological site and fell for the Pacific Northwest. I was finally able to call it my home in 2010.
I spent over twenty years in nonprofits first as a researcher and fundraiser at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. Later I became a Board Vice President of the New Mexico Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. I was a development consultant to the Alaska Native Heritage Center, the Cook Inlet Tribal Council and other organizations for a few years as well. I also spent some time in Japan.
Most recently, I served as the Director of Resource Development and Marketing for an organization which addresses homelessness among immigrants and refugees. I currently serve as Co-Chair of the Washington Planned Giving Council’s 2017 Planned Giving Day Conference and am a member of Seattle Children’s Legacy Advisors. I volunteer for the Pike Place Market Foundation and JUMA Ventures.
Gardening and nature photography are passions. I am the proud mother of one son.
