Born and raised in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Terry McMahon attended the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
He began his career in the financial services industry in 1991. In 1997, Terry joined New England Financial in the Maine-NH Agency of Parks-Tuttle Financial Services as a Managing Associate. He was honored with the Rookie of the Year Award in 1998 and 1999, and was nominated as Managing Associate of the Year in 1999 and 2000. Terry has qualified for the prestigious Agency Builders Club in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
Terry was named Co-Managing Partner with Roger Tuttle in June 2001, and assumed the role of sole Managing Partner of the New England Financial Maine-NH Agency on July 1, 2002. Under his leadership, the agency was the recipient of many company awards including the prestigious Heritage and The Ship’s Bell awards for agency quality business and growth.
As a Financial Representative, Terry has demonstrated a consistent ability to develop strategies that help protect and grow the hard earned assets of his clients, many of whom have experienced major life changes such as retirement, divorce or the loss of a spouse.
Terry holds the designation of CEP (Certified in Estate Planning) and CLTC (Certified in Long Term Care). In addition, Terry is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the General Agents and Managers Association, the National Society of Financial Services Professionals and the National Association of Certified Estate Planning. In 2011 and 2012, MassMutual Northern New England was awarded MassMutual’s prestigious Chairman’s Trophy.
Terry is the father of two sons, David and Joseph. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and attending sporting events.
