    A graduate of Nazareth College with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Rochester native, Doug spent part of his earlier career in Maui where he sold real estate and worked as a PGA golf professional—a passion he indulges to this day by coaching the Nazareth golf team. Upon returning to the mainland, Doug joined Financial Architects because the common denominator throughout his professional life has been his inherent ability to work well with people from all walks of life and establish lasting relationships. "The work I do in financial services today is not that different from the work I have done in other consultative sales roles; it's all about helping people and developing relationships," adds Doug in describing his abilities.


    For Doug, the role of a "good" financial service professional is to "listen, listen, and listen some more." Recommendations can't be made until the individual is completely understood. Then the presentation can be made in a manner that enables the client to act in his or her own best interest. "I believe the foundation for success in working with clients is the ability to recognize their goals, needs and resources; and deliver the appropriate solutions."

    What distinguishes Doug from other financial services professionals is his innate ability to connect with clients and recognize the correct course of action. "When I recommend a solution it's 100% in the client's best interest and one in which I truly believe. It is crucial to have the integrity to follow through on your recommendations and work with a client to meet their goals."

    Personal and Professional Affiliations

    Doug and his family enjoy giving back to the community. Doug makes time to volunteer on several golf committees, including the Hillside Children's Center, Mary Cariola Children's Center, Camp Good Days and Special Times and the Equicenter. "I enjoy using my knowledge and experience from running golf tournaments to help fundraising for charities," added Doug. In addition, Doug coaches Pittsford Mustangs and Pittsford Little League.

    Doug and his wife and two children live in Pittsford.
