Steve Bellon earned his CPA* designation in 1983 and started his career with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG), one of the world’s largest and most prestigious CPA firms. Steve worked in the Tax department where his responsibilities included tax planning and tax preparation for large, publicly traded corporations.
In 1987, he left Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and went to work for a small, local CPA firm in Brewster, New York. At this local firm, Steve specialized in working with family-owned businesses in the areas of Tax Planning, Business Succession Planning, and Retirement and Estate Planning.
In 1994, Steve earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and entered the financial services industry. Today, he is the President of Legacy Wealth Partners, LLC, and his client list includes many successful business owners, physicians and attorneys.
Steve, an avid hockey fan, is a founding member of the North Rockland Youth Hockey Association, an organization that provides all children in his community the opportunity to participate in youth hockey. In addition, Steve has also run the New York City Marathon twice to raise funds to benefit our youth. As a member of Team for Kids, funds were raised to provide free health and fitness programs for underprivileged children. As a member of Fred’s Team, funds raised were donated to Memorial Sloan-Kettering for pediatric cancer research.
In his leisure time, Steve enjoys exercising and spending time with his wife, Jeannie, and their two children.
