As a child of hard-working immigrant parents who moved first to Italy, then to America when I was 13, I appreciate the American Dream and want to live every day helping others fulfill its promise. To me, life is all about perspective and appreciation. I’m passionate about imparting to my firm members the core values of ambition and enterprise, integrity, concern for others, and lifelong education.
I believe it takes a unique advisor to be successful in this business – one with a heart of a social worker and the mind of a capitalist. Advisors who do well in our firm have a strong combination of both, and we look for that. The best advisors strive every day to get better because they genuinely care about their clients. My job as managing partner is to facilitate that development, provide the tools our advisors need, and foster a diverse culture that promotes optimum teaming and collaboration. I’m proud that with regard to creating a diverse firm, Fortis Lux Financial has many women in leadership or sales roles.
Outside the office, family is everything. I live in Connecticut with my wife, Donatella, and twins, Max and Isabella. I’m also an avid skydiver and having lived in Connecticut a long time, a huge New England Patriots fan. Given all that I have today, I’m a big believer in “paying if forward”, and am very active with charitable organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project and Gift of Life Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money to perform heart surgery for underprivileged kids. I am fluent in Russian and conversational in Italian, German and Polish, which are skills I use almost daily in the “melting pot” of New York.
