MassMutual Names Mo McNally Incoming Head of Community Responsibility and President & CEO of the MassMutual Foundation

Springfield, Mass. – MassMutual today announced that experienced corporate social responsibility leader Mo McNally has been appointed Head of Community Responsibility and President & CEO of the MassMutual Foundation, effective January 1, 2027. McNally will succeed Dennis Duquette, who will retire at the end of this year after leading MassMutual’s community responsibility efforts and serving as President & CEO of the MassMutual Foundation for the past 10 years.

Following the leadership transition, McNally will expand her responsibilities, guiding the development and implementation of the company's corporate social responsibility strategy, driving employee volunteer and giving efforts, and overseeing administration and grantmaking activity for the MassMutual Foundation. She will report to Meghan Doscher, MassMutual’s Head of Brand and Marketing.

McNally has held various community responsibility leadership roles with MassMutual over the past ten years. Currently, she serves as Head of Community Engagement and Systems and Vice President of the MassMutual Foundation, where she has led the development of enterprise impact measurement capabilities, strengthened Foundation governance, and helped grow employee volunteer and community programs. Before joining MassMutual, McNally held social impact roles at organizations including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Charles River Community Health, and GMA Foundations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University, a Master of Science in Public Service Management from DePaul University, and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Duquette originally joined MassMutual in 1981, holding a variety of roles at the company over eight years before returning to MassMutual in 2016 to lead the company's community responsibility organization. Over the past decade, Duquette has made many notable contributions, including the creation of Live Mutual Week, MassMutual’s annual week of employee volunteerism inspired by the company’s legacy of mutuality; administering the MassMutual Foundation’s grant strategy, which has resulted in more than $230 million given back to the community by MassMutual and the MassMutual Foundation in the past decade; and forging partnerships with local and national community partners that help people access resources needed to earn, protect, and help build their financial capability.
