Springfield, MA, January 21, 2020 – Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) proudly announced today that for the seventh year in a row, it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s premier benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.
The CEI rates companies and top law firms on detailed criteria falling under five broad categories: non-discrimination policies, employment benefits, demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBTQ diversity and inclusion, public commitment to LGBTQ equality, and responsible citizenship. Along with today's announcement, MassMutual earned the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality. Additionally, the HRC released a white paper entitled, "Paid Family Leave Transforms a Stronger, Healthier American Workforce," which references MassMutual's expansion of employee benefits around leave family creation, gender affirmation and more.
Also announced today, MassMutual has been named a FORTUNE World’s Most Admired Company in 2020, an honor that the company has held for the last 18 out of 20 years. Additionally, MassMutual has been named to the Forbes list of America’s Best Employers for Diversity in 2020.
