Six new managing directors and two new business development managers added to increase support for financial advisors, retirement plan sponsors

ENFIELD, Conn – MassMutual has added eight new retirement sales professionals to support its fast-growing retirement plans business.

“We continue to have strong growth in sales of retirement plans, which means we need to continue strengthening our nationwide network of sales professionals to support financial advisors, plan sponsors and participants,” said Scott Buffington, Vice President of Sales for Retirement Services.  Core retirement plan sales were up more than 20 percent in 2014 to $9.1 billion.

The new appointments include six new managing directors (MDs) and two new business development managers (BDMs), replacing openings and bringing the number of MassMutual retirement plan sales professionals to 78.  The MDs train and educate advisors about MassMutual’s retirement plan products and services, identify retirement plan prospects, and make the case for MassMutual and its products.
