MassMutual Appoints Eight New Relationship Managers To Support Defined Contribution Retirement Plans

The additions are part of a strategy to increase support for retirement plan sponsors

(Enfield, CT) – MassMutual Retirement, as part of a strategy to increase support for employers that sponsor retirement savings plans, has appointed eight new relationship managers for parts of New York, New Jersey, New England, California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Alaska.

MassMutual now has 98 relationship managers serving more than 36,000 retirement plans with more than three million employees who participate in those plans across the United States. The new appointments are part of a plan to increase the number of relationship managers to 110 in 2015 to help keep pace with record sales, according to Una Morabito, Senior Vice President of Client Management for MassMutual Retirement.

The new relationship managers are responsible for helping employers make the most of their 401(k), 457 and 403(b) defined contribution retirement plans for employees. The relationship managers work with employer’s decision-makers, investment advisors and consultants, attorneys and accountants to help employers manage their plans as effectively as possible.

“MassMutual’s relationship managers are connection points for our network of support for employers, financial advisors and third party administrators,” Morabito said. “Our relationship managers are seasoned professionals who work to make retirement plans as effective as possible and help employees prepare for retirement on their own terms.”
