First and Only Company to Earn Honor in Just Two Years
(Enfield, CT) – At the 21st Annual Mutual Fund Industry Awards held on March 27 in New York City, MassMutual was inducted into the prestigious Mutual Fund Industry Awards Hall of Fame. Fund Industry Intelligence & Fund Director Intelligence instituted the Hall of Fame to honor firms that have won at least three awards over the Mutual Fund Industry Awards’ 20-year history.
The highly-coveted Mutual Fund Industry Awards recognize the people and organizations that have stood out for their excellence, achievements and contributions to the mutual fund industry. Nominees and winners for these annual awards are selected by the editors of Institutional Investor's Fund Industry Intelligence and Fund Director Intelligence - the leading sources of intelligence for the U.S. mutual fund industry - based on their extensive industry-wide due diligence. The editors draw on market intelligence as well as consider input from the industry garnered through an annual call for nominations when making their selections.
Since 2012, MassMutual executives have proudly accepted the following three recognitions to qualify for induction:
• In April 2012, MassMutual was named Retirement Leader of the Year recognizing the company’s record sales success, action-oriented participant education, innovative PlanSmartSM Analysis tool, top advisor loyalty ratings and award-winning trade print and video advertising among other accolades.
• In April 2013, MassMutual earned two separate awards: Ad Campaign of the Year for its stellar “Who Matters Most” campaign as well as the Deal of the Year in recognition of MassMutual’s acquisition of The Hartford’s Retirement Plans Group.
“All of us at MassMutual are so proud of this honor, even more so for being the first and only firm ever to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in just two years. These awards are a testament to MassMutual’s strong customer focus, philosophy of continuous innovation, and proven results on behalf of retirement plan professionals and the plan sponsors and participants they serve,” said Elaine Sarsynski, executive vice president of MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division and chairman of MassMutual International LLC.
