Early Career Program

The MassMutual Early Career Program will provide you with a professional development opportunity through real-world experience in a FORTUNE 500® company. The program is designed to provide you with real work on high-impact projects, networking opportunities with professionals in all areas of the business and relationships that will last a lifetime.

Program Highlights

The Early Career Internship Program has five tracks: Marketing, Insurance Operations, Investment Management, MMUS Investment Management, and Enterprise Technology and Experience (ETX). To be eligible for the 11-week summer internship program, students must be enrolled in their sophomore or junior year at a four-year college with a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.0 (with a preferred 3.2 GPA).

The Early Career Rotational Program is a full-time, four-year rotational development program for students who are graduating from a four-year college by August 2020. The Early Career Rotational Program has four tracks: Marketing, Insurance Operations, Investment Management, and MMUS Investment Management. Each participant will complete four, one-year rotations in their specific track.

Brand strategy, Social Media, Consumer Insights, Community Responsibility, and more.

Investment Management Track

MassMutual Funds & the MassMutual General Investment Account (GIA). 

MMUS Investments Track

Supports the MassMutual Funds through ongoing due diligence of the Fund’s performance and portfolio managers while developing and communicating investment strategies.

Enterprise Technology & Experience Track

Cyber Security, Project Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Mobile Development, and more.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current sophomore or junior enrolled in a four-year, Bachelor degree program
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Demonstrated leadership skills gained from student clubs, community involvement, or work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship, both now and in the future

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Strong, creative problem solver Works autonomously, self-starter
  • Intellectually curious and agile learner
  • Preference for business majors (Marketing, Insurance Operations, and MMUS Investment track)
  • Preference for IT and computer science majors (ETX track)
  • Preference for mathematics, statistics, quantitative majors (Investment Management track)

 

Rotational program details

  • Current senior enrolled in a four-year, Bachelor degree program
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Demonstrated leadership skills gained from student clubs, community involvement, or work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship, both now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cumulative GPA of a 3.2 or higher
