Actuarial Leadership Development Program for College Students

The MassMutual Actuarial Leadership Development Program is designed to support participants through exams and prepare them for leadership roles. Program participants gain broad technical and industry knowledge over the course of several 24-month rotations.

Program Highlights

As a participant in the Actuarial Leadership Development Program at MassMutual, you’ll work on challenging projects that allow you to demonstrate your abilities and influence key business decisions. You’ll also have exposure to executives and senior actuarial professionals. At every stage in the program, a rotational mentor provides coaching and guidance to support your development and career. You’ll hone your leadership skills through training in areas including business acumen and interpersonal relations.

What program participants say

"My two summer intern experiences at MassMutual were so much more than jobs. They led me to a career that motivates me every day, helped me develop actuarial skills, knowledge, and confidence, while introducing me to the community of support within the ALDP. Now as an ALDP participant, I'm able to continue the growth that started in my internships. The rotational aspect of the program allows me to explore my interests, and the varied leadership opportunities challenge me to become a more versatile actuarial professional."

Tasha Boland
Current participant and Actuarial Analyst, B.S. Villanova University

"The ALDP has provided me with an ideal environment to grow both as an actuary and a leader. I have access to all of the necessary people and resources for me to develop robust technical ability and achieve designation. At the same time, there is a strong emphasis and ample opportunity to develop the necessary soft skills, from communication to leadership, for me to give the best I can to my teams. Working at the Boston office provides a great setting for collaboration and gives an amazing opportunity to grow with a new community in an amazing city."
