A loan provision
Depending on your employer's plan, MassMutual Artistry includes a loan provision. Within this loan provision, you may:
Take as many as three loans at one time, but no more than 2 can be taken in one calendar year. |
Borrow a minimum of $1,000 per loan; maximum of the lesser of $50,000 or 50% of the present value of your contract's non-forfeitable accrued benefit. |
Loans must be repaid on a quarterly basis over a five-year period, unless the loan is for the purchase of your primary home, in which case the repayment period is over a 15-year period. Loans must be repaid by the date you attain age 70˝ even if this is shorter than the otherwise applicable 5 or 15 year maximum.
In general, loans should only be taken in the event of an emergency, because the purpose of your TSA is to grow assets to help fund your retirement.
Please read the variable annuity and underlying fund prospectuses carefully before purchasing a contract, investing or sending money. These prospectuses are available through the link in the financial documents section above. Please contact your registered representative if you have any questions.
