SpecialCare sponsors two major events throughout the year: Disability Awareness Nights (DAN) and Easter Seals Walk With Me. DAN pays tribute to the 49.7 million Americans with disabilities, their families and caregivers. A pre-game ceremony for the Maxwell J. Schleifer Distinguished Service Award recognizes the efforts made by physicians, researchers, teachers, caregivers and concerned corporate citizens to help improve the lives of people with disabilities and other special needs. MassMutual is also the regional sponsor of the Easter Seals Walk With Me fundraiser where participants can walk to make a difference in the lives of those with a disability.
