The U.S. Insurance Group includes the distribution, marketing, product management, finance, compliance, and operations for all of MassMutual’s insurance products sold in the U.S., including life insurance, annuities, disability income and long term care.

Mr. Chandler brings with him extensive marketing experience from a variety of industries. Most recently, he was chief marketing officer at The Hanover Insurance Group, where he was responsible for business marketing, corporate communications and community relations. Prior to that, he held a variety of senior marketing positions with companies including Hasbro, Inc., Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts, and Cadbury Schweppes Plc.

“John’s experience will be tremendously valuable as he leads the newly integrated marketing function for MassMutual’s insurance business, focusing on developing and executing key strategies to help customers fulfill their financial needs, reaching new customer segments, and supporting our distribution partners’ localized marketing efforts,” Mr. Glavin said.

Mr. Chandler earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College, and his MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He resides in Longmeadow, Mass.
