MassMutual
across the country: community service awards
null
Dance performances are among the many musical attractions at the Ravinia Festival in Chicago. The festival received a $10,000 grant from the MassMutual Foundation through the Community Service Awards program.
The MassMutual Foundation distributed a total of $80,000 in 2005 on behalf of MassMutual's field sales force associates to the eligible non-profit organizations where they selflessly volunteer their time. The money recognizes exceptional community service.

The applicants' degree of hands-on involvement, time commitment to the organization, and the impact of their efforts are considered when determining the winners.

For more information, e-mail Ronn Johnson.

Note: Only eligible MassMutual agents, general agents and full-time agency employees may compete for these $10,000 grants.

null MassMutual Representative James McClure
CLU, REBC, of Pearre & Associates, Ltd. Of Chicago

Mr. McClure earned a Community Service Award in 2005 for his outstanding efforts with the Ravinia Festival Association's community outreach and education programs. Based in Chicago, Ravinia Festival's outreach and education efforts provide relevant music programs in schools and communities across the city. Through school residencies, Ravinia provides music sessions that enhance the core curriculum of three distinct grade levels in 22 of Chicago's public schools.

In addition to the $10,000 award from the MassMutual Foundation, Mr. McClure donated an additional $5,000 to the organization. "Ravinia has opened the door to the world of music for many youngsters who may not have otherwise had that opportunity," Mr. McClure said. "I am extremely pleased to have donated funds on my behalf, as well as MassMutual's, for such a worthy and relevant organization."
