Today, being environmentally responsible is more than just a good idea. It’s essential to our company’s long-term growth and stability. We’re dedicated to reducing our “environmental footprint” through activities such as recycling and utilizing energy-efficient building materials and practices. We encourage conservation in the workplace, engaging employees to share and pursue their own “green” ideas.1
We also strive to be an industry leader in introducing technologies that can reduce paper use, such as online forms and “electronic” policies. For example, with help from The Conservation Fund’s Go ZeroSM program, we are driving awareness of our electronic prospectus delivery option available to retirement plan sponsors and participants. For every plan sponsor who replaced paper delivery with e-prospectus delivery in 2007, MassMutual made a donation to The Conservation Fund to plant a tree in a protected forest on their behalf.
